Chasing Perfect Horoscopes

Expectant Parents Timing C-Section Deliveries (Part 1)

Chasing Perfect Horoscopes - Nothing Perfect About It

The objective of broaching Rama's horoscope is to highlight the futility of parents chasing perfect horoscopes for their kids. Just a caveat: This part is surely not to 'belittle astrology' nor the man we hail as an Avatar of Divinity!

The Divine Man

Rama is accorded Divinity, simply for his conduct, equanimity under duress, which for the most part (surely not all, in my opinion) had been admirable. No wonder, a wise culture as ancient India's, called him Purushottaman, The Best or Most Ideal of Men.

Complete or Incomplete, An Incomparable Birth-chart

I recently came across an article citing some differences of opinion about Rama's correct horoscope, due to a little incompleteness in Sage Valmiki's description of his natal chart. But even accommodating for this 'issue', there can be little doubt about the brilliance & uniqueness of Rama's jaathakam (south india) or kundali (north india).

Exaltation Par Excellence

The most impressive horoscope ever, as rated by most, if not all Pundits of astrology, is Rama's. Astrologers can wax eloquent analyzing the nuances therein. Some of us may have one planet in exaltation... a position in the Zodiac where the planet gets maximum strength to express itself. For eg. Mars in exaltation makes one courageous, a great warrior etc. A chosen few may still manage two or very very rarely, even three exaltations in their natal charts.

Whether Four or Five, A Superhuman Horoscope

Here was a man who had at least four planets in exaltation (Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Libra, Mars in Capricorn & Venus in Pisces). He also had the Lord of a Zodiac sign in its own house which is almost equivalent to exaltation (Moon in Cancer). If Rama's Sun is confirmed to be in Aries as is popularly accepted, and not Pisces, as some argue, it would again be in exaltation. Imagine then... FIVE Planets in exaltation and ONE in its own sign!!!!!

A Man, Divine But Much of Life in Darkness!

For the sake of this note, and particularly to connect this section with the next, I will restrict myself to the darker parts of Rama's life and conduct. As mentioned earlier, this in no way affects my opinion of him as one of those handful of mortals who actually achieved Divinity.

Coming next - Rama's is a unique horoscope, but not 'Adversity Proof'😞.
